GROW Partners with a variety of local organizations, charities, and educational institutions to connect with young adults who are looking to explore a career the built environment profession including facilities, maintenance, construction, and real estate. Matching disenfranchised young adults with mentors and internships is fundamental to achieving our long-term goal: making the built environment professions a
career of choice!


Working with our partners to provide visits to local companies, mentoring, education in facilities-related subjects, internships and scholarships, GROW aims to develop the next generation of facility management leaders.

IFMA FOUNDATION

The Foundation is the global public charity arm of the IFMA Association. A 501©3 non-profit seeking to make Facilities
Management a career of choice.

Adult Students

Education

  • San Jose City College-
    GROW supports the Facilities Maintenance, HVAC and Electrical Programs at SJCC with participation on their Industry Advisory Committee and with placement services.

  • College of San Mateo- CSM is a partner providing Facility Management education, building the FM workforce of tomorrow.

  • JobTrain
    - Provides workforce skill development in a variety of fields. GROW engages with the Business Administration program with placement services, and with the Facilities Maintenance program with course contend, guest lectures and placement services. We also partnered with IFMA Silicon Valley in a workday, improving the physical facility and furniture.

Conference

  • Heavy Metal-
     GROW is a financial partner in the exciting new program to teach local high school youth metal working skills

  • in a summer school environment.

  • 49ers Academy- 
    We also partnered with IFMA Silicon Valley in a several volunteer workdays, improving the physical facility

  • and furniture. The 49ers Academy is a charter middle school in the East Palo / Menlo Park area.

  • NOVA Youth- We partnered with IFMA Silicon Valley in a workday, improving the physical facility and furniture. NOVA is a drop in care facility for homeless youth in Downtown San Jose.
